Superstar Trust Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Finance team. This full-time role focuses on maintaining financial integrity, timely reporting, and compliance with Hong Kong accounting standards.

You will manage general ledger activities, payroll, bank reconciliations, and assist with statutory reporting and audits. Strong Excel skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification such as HKICPA, ACCA, or equivalent recognised credentials.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to work with complex spreadsheets and financial data.
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles, standards and regulatory requirements applicable to Hong Kong.
• Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve accounting issues independently.
• Solid knowledge of general ledger management, journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, priorities workload and meet strict deadlines.
• Professional integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
• Experience with payroll processing, tax compliance or audit support would be advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in line with GAAP and relevant standards.

About the role

Superstar Trust Limited is seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity and accuracy of our organisation. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing a broad range of accounting functions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing timely financial reporting to support informed business decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records and accounts in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant accounting standards.
• Processing financial transactions including invoicing, expense claims, payroll and bank reconciliations.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports for management.
• Conducting reconciliations of general ledger accounts and investigating discrepancies.
• Assisting with statutory financial reporting and tax compliance requirements.
• Supporting the audit process by preparing documentation and responding to audit queries from internal and external auditors.
• Maintaining and updating accounting policies, procedures and documentation to ensure consistency and compliance.
