Job summary

A premier international professional services firm in Hong Kong is seeking an Accountant / Senior Accountant to lead end-to-end financial reporting and general ledger maintenance.

You will join a high-calibre finance team in Hong Kong and play a key role in statutory statements, management packs, audits, tax, and internal controls enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of general accounting in professional services or multinational env.
• Membership or progression with HKICPA / CPA Australia / ACCA / CGA or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of HKFRS / IFRS and Hong Kong profits tax compliance.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (Xero, SAP, NetSuite) and advanced Excel.
• Fluent in Cantonese and English; Mandarin is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage full sets of accounts, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and management reporting packs.
• Coordinate statutory audits, tax computations, and liaise with auditors/regulators.
• Assist the finance manager with system enhancements, workflow automation, and internal controls reviews.

As an Accountant within the professional services team, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing full sets of accounts, general ledger maintenance, and timely month-end closing processes.
• Preparing statutory financial statements and management reporting packs
• Coordinating and supporting statutory audit schedules, tax computations, and liaising directly with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Assisting the finance manager with system enhancements, workflow automations, and internal control reviews.

Skills & Experience Required.

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in general accounting, corporate services, or external audit within a professional services or multinational environment.
• Membership or qualification progression with HKICPA / CPA Australia / ACCA / CGA or equivalent professional accounting bodies.
• In-depth practical knowledge of HKFRS / IFRS and Hong Kong profits tax compliance.
• Hands-on proficiency with major cloud accounting platforms (e.g., Xero, SAP, or NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and fluent in Cantonese and English (proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage).
