Job summary

Superstar Trust Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Finance team. This full-time role focuses on maintaining financial integrity, timely reporting, and compliance with Hong Kong accounting standards.

You will manage general ledger activities, payroll, bank reconciliations, and assist with statutory reporting and audits. Strong Excel skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification such as HKICPA, ACCA, or equivalent recognised credentials.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to work with complex spreadsheets and financial data.
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles, standards and regulatory requirements applicable to Hong Kong.
• Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve accounting issues independently.
• Solid knowledge of general ledger management, journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, priorities workload and meet strict deadlines.
• Professional integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
• Experience with payroll processing, tax compliance or audit support would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in line with GAAP and relevant standards.
• Process financial transactions including invoicing, expenses, payroll and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports for management.
• Conduct reconciliations of general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with statutory financial reporting and tax compliance requirements.
• Support the audit process by preparing documentation and responding to audit queries.
• Maintain and update accounting policies, procedures and documentation for consistency and compliance.
• Analyse financial data and provide insights to support budgeting and forecasting.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of financial information and documents.
