Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data Center Engineering Operations in Hong Kong is seeking engineers to ensure the continuous operation of AWS data centers. You will monitor electrical and mechanical systems, perform daily rounds, and respond to emergencies while coordinating with contractors to maintain equipment and safety standards.

The role requires a Diploma/Higher Diploma in electrical, mechanical, or building services engineering, 2+ years of hands-on experience, and a valid REW certificate

Qualifications

Diploma or higher in electrical, mechanical, or building services engineering.
2+ years of electrical or mechanical experience.
Valid REW certificate and Green Card/Construction Workers Registration are required.

Responsibilities

Rotating shift work is required to maintain 24/7 operations coverage.
Monitor and operate electrical and mechanical equipment in the data center.
Perform routine rounds and record daily operational readings (temperatures, voltages, currents).
Respond to emergencies and troubleshoot facility equipment issues.
Arrange and supervise contractors and vendors for operation and maintenance; follow up on records.
Participate in emergency drills and on-call rotation when needed.
