Qualifications

• Final year student or recent graduate in Engineering, Aerospace or a related discipline.
• Right to work in Hong Kong (visa holders welcomed).

The Engineering Graduate Trainee Programme is designed to develop high-potential engineering professionals with the technical, operational and leadership capabilities to help shape the future of Cathay Engineering. Through structured rotations, professional development opportunities and challenging project assignments, trainees gain broad exposure across Engineering operations while building the technical, operational and leadership capabilities required to support the safe, reliable and efficient management of one of the world's most technologically advanced fleets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of Cathay's Engineering Department and the wider organisation, including its purpose, strategy, operating model, values and business drivers
• Acquire a broad understanding of Engineering operations and successfully achieve the learning objectives of each rotational assignment
• Develop leadership, decision-making and stakeholder management skills within a complex airline engineering environment
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to support business, operational and strategic initiatives
• Lead and contribute to projects and continuous improvement initiatives, demonstrating ownership, accountability and a results-oriented mindset
• Apply technical knowledge, analytical thinking and industry best practices to support Engineering operations and project delivery
• Contribute innovative ideas and leverage emerging technologies, digital solutions and data-driven approaches to improve Engineering performance and business outcomes
• Demonstrate adaptability, learning agility and a continual desire to develop professionally and personally

Qualifications / Experience

• Final year students or recent graduates (within 2 years of graduation) in Engineering, Aerospace or a related discipline
• Right to work in Hong Kong (eligible visa holders are also welcome, including via the Top Talent Pass Scheme (TTPS) and Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates (IANG))
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Demonstrated ability to lead, influence or organise teams, projects or activities
• Curious, adaptable and eager to learn in a dynamic operational environment
• Passion for aviation and Engineering
