Arvonia is a long-established practice, owned by two experienced vets. We are committed to progressing as a practice and have recently acquired a 64 slice CT Scanner. As an Independent practice we value our teams input and everyone working with us can have a say in how the practice develops in the future.
Cheltenham is a thriving regency spa town renowned for its horse racing and festivals including Jazz, literature and science. Cheltenham has a lively city centre with an abundance of shops, restaurants and bars. We are right in the heart of the Cotswolds with lots of surrounding countryside for exploring with easy access to Bath, Bristol and Birmingham.
The Role
We are looking for a dedicated RVN that can fit into our current team of three RVN's, three student nurses and six vets, bringing their own knowledge and enthusiasm to add value to our practice. We are looking for a Nurse who can work in all aspects of nursing including consultations, theatre, inpatient care, lab, and radiography. Shifts will be based across our three PSS accredited sites, supporting development at each.
Our nurses enjoy lots of responsibility within the practice, and we utilise their skills in all areas of nursing. We are a training practice and like to be involved in supporting the next cohort of Vets and Nurses.
Training and progression are greatly supported and many of the clinical staff hold or are working towards further qualifications, meaning we benefit from a wide range of specialities. We are a close team and enjoy social gatherings including paid for Summer and Christmas events.
The Package
This is a full-time position working on average 41 hours per week (inclusive of paid breaks), shifts vary between 8am-4pm and 10.30am-7.30pm, weekends are on a rota basis of 1:4 Saturdays. There’s no on call, bank holidays or OOH requirements. We would consider part-time hours for the right candidate.
