Job summary
A healthcare provider in Wales is seeking an experienced clinical pharmacist to oversee pharmacy services in the Emergency Department and Clinical Decision Unit. The successful candidate will ensure high standards of patient care, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and support antimicrobial stewardship initiatives. The role involves independent prescribing, medication reviews, and education of healthcare staff and students. This is a Band 8a maternity leave cover for 12 months at Glangwili General Hospital.
Qualifications
- Experience in clinical pharmacy services is essential.
- Must have a valid prescriber qualification.
- Experience in teaching and supervision is required.
Responsibilities
- Oversee clinical pharmacy services to the Emergency Department (ED) and Clinical Decision Unit (CDU).
- Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Conduct medication reviews and support education for patients.
