Responsibilities
- Operating waste balers and compactors.
- Preventing shortages by ensuring containers and storage capacity are maintained.
- Carrying out litter picking and keeping the site clean and safe.
- Managing waste and recycling storage areas to a high standard of housekeeping.
- Handling hazardous waste, ensuring it’s labelled, stored, and disposed of correctly.
- Managing WEEE waste storage and collections.
- Liaising with other departments to ensure smooth waste management processes.
- Following 6S principles and reporting hazards, near misses, and safety concerns.
- Supporting health and safety on site by working safely and leading by example.
- Carrying out other reasonable tasks as required.
