Job description

We are on a mission to grow the most Iconic Japanese Premium Fashion brand in EMEA (Mainly UK, Italy, France, Germany and Spain). We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate Marketing Brand Manager to help us do something bold, challenging and rewarding. Reporting directly to the EMEA CBO based in London, The Onitsuka Tiger EMEA Marketing Manager will be working closely with the Department Managers to build and execute plans laddering up to long-term brand strategies to help drive growth. This role requires an experienced marketer who is highly digitally minded and has executed integrated brand awareness campaigns across an array of marketing channels to drive awareness and revenue in both Retail/Digital and Indirect Channels. She/he will also be responsible for Public Relations, Influencer relationships, social media and Advertising.

In addition, the Brand Marketing Manager plays a key role in managing and evaluating external agencies. This role is expected to travel 15% (including Internationally).

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day responsibilities and activations of all of Onitsuka Tiger EMEA Marketing Programs, including relationships with influencers, celebrities, brand ambassadors, and external agencies.
  • Drive cross-functional plans for all consumer marketing functions, such as social media, PR, and creative planning to maximize Global Marketing assets and programming.
  • Collaborate with the Retail and Ecommerce units to create unique programming that helps connect with consumers and drive brand awareness in EMEA specifically but also globally.
  • Drive the connection between our Global Marketing assets and commercial product launches in the EMEA while working collaboratively with the Global Marketing team.
  • Create the strategic and growth plans for our indirect channels working directly to execute marketing programs with our wholesale key accounts.
  • Oversee the budget for EMEA Marketing activation.
  • Partner with external agency to set communication strategies and develop advertising platforms/executions that maximize business results.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams that may include Sales, Finance, and Merchandising to develop and manage marketing objectives, goals, and strategies.
  • Assist with tracking and management of brand business performance. Analyze and report market and competitor trends to identify core business threats/opportunities, working with division and market sales teams. Analyze and report key marketing metrics with a view to strengthening marketing plan/activities for the future.
  • Establish reporting systems and prepare monthly marketing activities packages to be shared with Global HQ.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing principles, as well as strong strategic skills.
  • Solid experience in strategy/brand development, including brand positioning and brand building activities. Ability to turn insights into marketing actions and recommendations.
  • Must be results-oriented, organized, demonstrating the ability to lead and motivate others.
  • Must be digital-first in thinking. Should have a deep understanding of overarching media & digital platforms and campaigns and how to leverage against the brand’s strategic touchpoints.
  • Leverage excellent presentation and storytelling skills, passion, and energy to be the primary advocate for the brand internally and externally (e.g. in front of key customers, PR events, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior, motivations, and insights to drive solutions.
  • Resiliency to deal with ambiguity and lead through change.
  • Experience working in an international environment.
Minimum Requirements:
  • 10+ years of relevant marketing experience in the European fashion industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Marketing management/brand management in consumer goods required.
  • Experience in Premium brands preferred.
  • Experience in Startup, upcoming brands preferred.
  • Proven experience in a core brand management role.

Onitsuka Tiger was born in 1949 as a sports shoe brand. The company continued to evolve until 1977, actively incorporating innovative ideas and technologies. In 2002, the company was reborn as a fashion brand in search of a more sophisticated style. Shoes that were once used for competitions were updated to shoes for town use, and they became loved as fashion items. Newly designed clothing and bags also express Onitsuka Tiger's commitment to both traditional detailing and a fashion mindset. Onitsuka Tiger is now undergoing a further evolution. It is sublimating itself into a "premium fashion brand." This premium is not about the price of a product, but rather about the brand's worldview, commitment to quality, and service, meaning one and only.
