Job description

Can you draw upon holistic digital marketing skills to execute the new strategy of a B2C travel-related brand? Not afraid of autonomy but thrive when able to draw on your expertise and initiative but happy to remain accountable to stakeholders as the Digital Product Manager?

We’re hiring for a publisher hosting a small portfolio of long-standing websites. Primarily, they provide information and assistance to the public about a variety of different topics predominantly related to travel. Empowered by a hands-off board of Directors, this opportunity will excite someone who thrives in a start-up environment without their own personal capital risk. You’ll inherit a series of websites with strong commercial history, taking them into their next phase of growth.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Board and their Consultant, as the Digital Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing, implementing and managing the overall strategy and roadmap for these travel brands. This will include the continual improvement of the website, building out its core functionality to optimise customer journeys. Driven by data and results, you’ll measure key performance metrics across all channels and grow the website traffic with constant analysis and optimisation.

Working closely with the Board’s Consultant, you will create an actionable marketing roadmap across organic, affiliate marketing, SEO, Content Marketing, PPC, PR, Display Ads and eMail Marketing utilising resources from your existing team of employed, freelance and agency support to see growth across all areas.

Embracing your hands-on attitude, you’ll also be a strategic thinker able to motivate your team to generate the best results and achieve targets. Self-driven, you’ll confidently work autonomously, steering your team to deliver the best results.

It’s essential you bring outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to this remote working role. You’ll also instill confidence with your commercial insights, effectively manage stakeholders and provide regular reporting to the Board. You’ll also foster good relations with company partners (direct or affiliate) to increase sales and commissions.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL
  • 4+ years of experience in managing digital products or websites and implementing growth strategies in either clientside or agency environments
  • Bring a strong track record of at least 2 years in creating and executing impactful strategies and leading a team to execute digital marketing campaigns
  • Bring industry best practice skills across multiple channels, including organic marketing, affiliate marketing, TechSEO, Content Marketing, Social Media, PPC, Digital PR, Display Ads and eMail Marketing.
  • A seasoned marketing professional with B2C experience, travel industry is an advantage
  • Some affiliate marketing experience is ideal but not essential
  • A passion for driving online growth with an interest in keeping ahead of industry advances.
  • An excellent knowledge of digital marketing tools: including but not limited to Google Analytics 4, Search Console, Semrush or similar SEO tools, AdSense, and others.
LOCATION

Accustomed to working remotely since the pandemic, the team are all in the UK working from home. It’s essential you are in the UK, with permit to work in place already.

BENEFITS

Recognising this position directly impacts revenue, there is potential for a profit-share agreement for the right candidate in addition to a basic salary of up to £50,000.
