PK Education welcomes applications to join our excellent Cover Team in a dynamic and rewarding role as a Cover Supervisor. We are seeking confident Cover Supervisors with a passion for education to work on a day-to-day or long-term basis across secondary schools in Perry Bar.

The role of a Cover Supervisor is diverse and challenging but also very rewarding. As a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school, you will supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers. You will manage student behaviour in line with school policies and support students in learning activities across the curriculum.

This role is suitable for: NQTs, trainee teachers, retired teachers/TAs, those unable to work full-time, individuals seeking flexible hours, or those wanting to network and gain exposure to new schools.

School Details: The schools in these areas vary significantly, covering different social and economic demographics and Ofsted ratings. Your consultant will match you with appropriate schools based on your background and location.

Cover Supervisor Responsibilities and Duties:

• Be comfortable managing a classroom and ensuring learners stay on task
• Manage pupil behaviour to maintain a constructive environment
• Respond to pupil questions regarding processes and procedures
• Handle emergencies or immediate issues according to school policies
• Collect and return completed work to the appropriate teacher
• Report on pupil behaviour and any issues using the school's referral procedures

Reference details will be requested prior to registration. You will need a current DBS registered with the Update Service. If you do not have one, PK Education will assist in obtaining it.
