A leading infrastructure contractor is looking for a Procurement Officer to support with regional materials and plant buying for projects. Duties will include:

• Operational buying of material and plant requirements for regional civil engineering projects.
• Ensuring projects receive material orders to the required quality, cost, and delivery expectations.
• Negotiating with suppliers that are not covered by frameworks.
• Supporting operational teams with day-to-day challenges on contracts.
• Maximising the use of framework agreements to ensure savings and rebates are achieved.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support on several high profile projects across London and the South East.

Buying a wide range of categories including concrete, timber, small and heavy plant.

Supporting a portfolio of national civil infrastructure projects and frameworks.

Our client is looking for Buyers with 2+ years civil materials buying experience from any sector of construction. They are open to candidates from contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, or merchants. They will also consider Assistant Buyers who are looking for career progression.
