Job summary
A local authority in Greater London is looking for an Adult Social Care Lawyer to join its Safeguarding Team for an initial three-month contract. This role involves handling various legal matters including Court of Protection, safeguarding, and the Mental Health Act. Candidates must be qualified Solicitors, Barristers, or Fellows of CILEX with a current practising certificate. This full-time position requires office attendance two days a week and offers a competitive salary of £34.04 PAYE or £42.46 umbrella.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of Adult Social Care law.
- Proven experience in safeguarding and homelessness cases.
- Ability to undertake complex legal matters.
Responsibilities
- Join the Safeguarding Team to undertake adult social care work.
- Handle full remit including Court of Protection and DOLs applications.
- Work collaboratively with council staff and attend office 2 days a week.
