Job summary
A leading recruitment firm is currently seeking a Locum Prosecutions Lawyer for a well-regarded Council in the North West of the United Kingdom. This full-time role requires a qualified solicitor or barrister with local authority experience and the ability to manage a diverse caseload, including education matters, licensing, and civil litigation. Candidates should be willing to commute to court as required. This initial 3-month contract offers an opportunity for extension within a supportive team.
Qualifications
- Experience working as a Prosecutions Lawyer within local government.
- Ability to handle a diverse caseload of prosecutions.
- Willingness to commute to the North West region.
Responsibilities
- Handle a full caseload of prosecutions matters including Education/SEN.
- Conduct a range of prosecution work and licensing.
- Manage civil litigation cases.

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting to a brilliant opportunity for a Prosecutions Lawyer to join a well-regarded Council on a locum basis.
Our client is looking for a Locum Prosecutions Lawyer with some local authority experience to join their friendly and welcoming team.
This role is offering an initial 3 month contract with the opportunity to be extended. This is a full-time role and the successful candidate will have to attend court as and when needed. Therefore this role would suit someone who is able to commute to the North West region.
The main duties of this role include handling a full caseload of prosecutions matters including:
- Education/SEN
- Range of prosecution work
- Licensing
- Civil Litigation
Our client is seeking a Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with previous experience working in local government as a Prosecutions Lawyer. The successful Prosecutions Lawyer will be joining a friendly and supportive team within a well-regarded local authority and will have the opportunity to work on an interesting and diverse caseload.
