You’ll play an important part in bridging design ideas and real-world solutions, working alongside colleagues across a range of disciplines to help bring projects to life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using Autodesk Inventor and Vault, ensuring alignment with industry standards and internal guidelines.
• Produce technical documentation, including assembly instructions and bills of materials ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers, design team members, and other stakeholders to gather design requirements, contribute to design reviews, and offer insights that enhance design quality.
• Oversee the organisation and revision of design files, ensuring efficient file management and accurate reflection of ongoing design updates.
• Review drafting work thoroughly to identify errors, resolve discrepancies, and maintain high standards of quality throughout the drafting process.
• Coordinate and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously, managing deadlines effectively and providing regular updates on progress to team members.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD and/or Vault, with a strong understanding of drafting standards and best practices such as BS8888. They will have excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing precise, high-quality work. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, as the role requires close collaboration with colleagues across departments.
