Job Description:

SISS Station Systems Technician - Level 4

Location: Newport, United Kingdom (On-site)

Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and develop solutions, working alongside technical experts committed to impactful work. Be part of a high-performing team managing complex infrastructure.

Reporting to the Duty Manager, the Station Systems Technician will perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on CCTV, CIS, PA, and SISS (Station Information and Security Systems). This is a permanent night shift role, Sunday to Thursday, 10 pm to 6 am, based at Pirin Court Depot near Canning Town.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist qualified technicians with fault rectification on CCTV, PAVA, PHP, and CIS screens.
• Attend planned, remedial, and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Maintain SISS assets and report station communication faults.
• Utilize field IT equipment for maintenance data.
• Coordinate with Telent Service Centre for task updates and completion.

Candidate Profile:

This entry-level role suits hands-on individuals who enjoy multi-tasking and learning. Experience in a similar role or familiarity with Network Rail health & safety procedures is advantageous.

Requirements:

• CCTV, IP networking, or electrical background.
• Proficiency with O365 and IT awareness.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Willingness to work nights at Pirin Court Service Centre.
