Who We Are Looking For

Are you a motivated Cloud Architect that is passionate about helping companies of various sizes adopt cloud and cloud-native technologies? You'll fit right in. As part of the Consulting and Professional Services Team, you will review customers’ current infrastructure and application platform architecture and help them on the path of migration to cloud or application platform modernization. You will use modern cloud infrastructure design patterns and when appropriate, introduce cloud-native development technologies and processes. A core requirement is to build and maintain relationships with these customers providing technical guidance to infrastructure architects, application developers, and operators. The position requires a balance between multiple disciplines and strong interpersonal skills. This is a full-time position open to candidates in Canada. We are operating remotely.

What You Will Do

Design and implement systems using various Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, etc.).

Design Monitoring and Alerting systems using various tools (e.g., Elasticsearch, Fluentd, Datadog, Pagerduty, etc.).

Design CI/CD pipelines using various tools (e.g., ArgoCD, Jenkins, GitLab, etc.).

Collaborate with the Solution Architects during the pre-sales process to establish the expected technical outcomes and associated effort to meet customer needs.

Collaborate with the Project Managers and Solution Architects to break down customer requirements into User Stories and Sub-tasks.

Review implementations of the technical teams to ensure quality standards and deliver feedback.

Support development and operations teams to bring projects relating to Web, App, Network, Server, Storage, and Security into production.

Assist in documentation of the architecture and solution design of cloud platforms, cloud practices, connectivity, and deployment patterns.

Develop subject-matter expertise in the Azure, Google, and/or AWS cloud platforms, Cloud-Native technologies, and DevOps marketplace.

Deliver presentations and demonstrations of cloud solutions with a particular focus on Cloud-Native technologies.

Participate in community and market activities, including participation in trade shows.

What You Will Need

5+ years of hands-on customer-facing experience in customer-facing positions as a technology Consultant/Architect.

3 years of coding experience developing/programming for cloud technologies in AWS and Azure: infrastructure as code, automation, fluent in DevOps practices.

A strong automation background and related experience.

An understanding of DevOps concepts and tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD and agile methodologies.

Experience using and/or developing on a Unix/Linux platform.

To pay attention to IT Operations trends and new best practices.

A solid understanding of systems monitoring, alerting and analytics.

Experience in automation of code deployment across multiple cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, as well as VMWare, OpenStack and Cloud Stack.

Experience with Docker containers and orchestration platforms such as ECS, GKE, AKS, Kubernetes, Mesos, and/or OpenShift.

Experience with public cloud services beyond basic IaaS functionality.

Experience developing automation with Terraform or other infrastructure provisioning tools.

Architecture and implementation experience building production infrastructure using code and repeatable designs.

Knowledge of ITIL processes and experience evolving to Agile development lifecycles.

Knowledge of networking and software-defined networking in cloud environments.

We'll ask you to demonstrate your technical capabilities and will invite you to complete acouple of technical quizzes.

You will be invited to join a 30-minute call with the hiring manager to deep dive into the role, team and projects, and they will answer any of your questions.

The final interview isa 1-hour technical discussion with members of your future team.

Candidates will be asked to undergo a security screening, which includes a criminal record investigation, the results of which must be acceptable to CloudOps.
