We're looking for an enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our dedicated catering team at Nation Railway Museum. As a Catering Assistant, you will contribute to a passionate and friendly team working in a fast-paced environment, delivering exceptional customer service.

The successful Catering Assistant will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with basic food production & preparation, customer service and generally supporting the operations while adhering to all Health and Food Safety requirements.In return, you will have the chance to progress with a company that invests in its people, celebrates individuality, and rewards and recognises employees who go beyond the plate.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Basic food preparation, counter set up and serving of food and beverages
• Ensuring the highest level of customer care is delivered to clients and customers
• Demonstrating a can-do attitude towards individual customer requests and strive to exceed customer expectations
• Ensuring correct storage of food items and equipment after service
• Assisting colleagues in a willing and positive manner including assisting with other duties as required
• Complying with Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards

Our ideal Catering Assistant will be:

• A good communicator, able to confidently liaise with customers and colleagues
• Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
• Committed to high levels of customer care.
• Able to undertake a range of manual cleaning duties
• An enthusiastic individual with a passion for working in a catering environment.
• Positive and take pride in their work.
