Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been exclusively reengaged by a longstanding client, a rapidly expanding and highly respected charitable organisation. The charity seeks to recruit an experienced Finance Manager to join them in a newly created position. This opportunity is offered as a full time, permanent contract but also benefits from a generous hybrid/flexible working arrangement - details to be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
Working closely alongside the organisation’s long standing and highly experienced Director of Finance, the successful candidate will manage a small team and play a key role in overseeing the charity’s operational financial controls. Key responsibilities include:
The ideal candidate will have recently gained experience in a similar capacity, ideally managing a small team and with a good knowledge of the end-to-end finance lifecycle. While experience gained within a regulated not-for-profit environment would be advantageous, our client is open-minded and welcomes applicants with commercial finance experience gained in any sector, or a practice leaver seeking their first commercial role. Applicants should be qualified AAT as a minimum, or possess a suitable level of vocational experience. The incoming FM will require sound management/supervisory experience, excellent IT aptitude, and the ability to work with and communicate effectively with colleagues across all areas of the organisation. The role works as part of a motivated, passionate and energetic management team whose enthusiasm for the future of the charity is infectious - a like-minded, team-playing attitude would work exceptionally well for this appointment.
