We are seeking an ambitious Senior Account Handler/Broking Manager to join our dynamic team in Stourbridge. If you have a passion for insurance, this is the opportunity for you. Be part of a world-class organisation that values collaboration and inclusion.

Responsibilities:

1. Organise and manage personal work activities to achieve team objectives and meet agreed targets.
2. Mentor and assist team members with broking difficulties.
3. Participate in team meetings, reporting on business progress within your area of expertise.
4. Manage assigned projects and contribute to other projects as required.
5. Review client documentation to ensure comprehensive and accurate information is presented for the quoting process.
6. Collate and communicate client requirements to ensure appropriate marketing of the risk.
7. Liaise with clients to resolve queries and respond to market and third-party queries as appropriate.
8. Produce high-quality market documentation, securing appropriate authorisations.
9. Take ownership of data entry, credit control, and chasing subjectivities when required.
10. Work with underwriters to place insurance that balances quality, coverage, and price.
11. Process data promptly and accurately on relevant systems to support client service and internal processes.
12. Maintain accurate and timely documentation for clients, ensuring proper organisation of records.
13. Conduct due diligence/sanctions checks in line with company procedures.
14. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and obtain required authorisations.
15. Foster and nurture positive relationships with colleagues and external contacts.
16. Provide support and assistance to senior colleagues and/or their clients on request.
17. Deal with or refer client enquiries, renewals, and mid-term adjustments.

Requirements:

1. Understanding of general and legal principles of insurance.
2. Knowledge of relevant regulatory and legal frameworks.
3. Familiarity with the market, including competitors, specific territories, and cultural awareness.
4. Experience in an account handling or technical role within commercial insurance is essential.
5. Good understanding of team objectives and how own role contributes.
6. Experience of mentoring or managing a team would be advantageous.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Able to work independently and use initiative.
9. Flexible and able to meet tight deadlines/targets with good organisation skills.
10. Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
11. Calm and resilient under pressure; ability to positively react to change.
12. Effective communicator skilled at building connections and cultivating relationships.
