Project Manager Engineering – Global Market Leader Intralogistics - London

Are you an experienced Engineering Project Manager with a passion for delivering high-impact projects? Our client, a global market leader in logistics automation, are looking for someone to join their team in London, where you’ll lead a dynamic, multidisciplinary team of engineers on a range of exciting projects. As part of a growing team, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing the design, delivery, and successful handover of engineering solutions in the airport sector.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading large, complex projects, managing project plans, budgets, risks, and ensuring the timely delivery of engineering deliverables. You’ll collaborate closely with project managers, integration managers, and your team to ensure projects meet customer expectations and quality standards. Your technical expertise will be key as you oversee all aspects of the project, from high-level strategy to the finer details, ensuring everything runs smoothly and on time.

You’ll also take on the responsibility of developing and mentoring your team of engineers, focusing on their growth and skill development to ensure a high-performing team. Your ability to balance competing priorities, manage risks, and communicate effectively with both customers and engineers will be crucial to your success. Safety is a top priority, and you’ll lead health and safety analyses to ensure that all engineering phases meet the highest safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have a technical degree, ideally at the bachelor level, with significant experience in systems design and project management. A background in mechanical, electrical, or control systems is highly desirable, as is experience leading engineering teams, managing budgets, and overseeing project delivery. You’ll need to be pragmatic, proactive, and driven with a strong focus on achieving commitments and coaching your team to perform at their best.
