We're looking for an experienced project manager to oversee some of the School of Science and Technology's most significant research projects. You'll work closely with Principal Investigators and external partners to ensure large-scale, multi-year research grants are delivered successfully and on time. In this role, you'll manage a diverse portfolio of complex, high-value research awards funded by leading organisations, including UK Research Councils, the European Commission, Innovate UK, charities and industry partners. Your expertise will help drive collaboration and ensure projects achieve their intended impact. Join our team as a Research Project Manager and play a key role in supporting world‑class research.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance on sponsor requirements and compliance
  • Coordinate project start‑up activities, including ethical approvals and legal agreements
  • Monitor progress, manage risks and keep stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle
  • Oversee financial tracking, reporting and governance to meet contractual obligations
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Finance, Legal and Research Operations to deliver successful outcomes
