The Planning Inspectorateis an executive agency of the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government (MHCLG). It is responsible for making decisions and providing recommendations in areas such as planning application appeals, local plan examinations and national infrastructure applications, as well as smaller specialist casework such as making decisions on commons and rights of way. The Inspectorate employs the country’s largest cohort of planning specialists and works alongside other parties to support the development of the planning sector.
About the role:The Planning Inspectorate is looking to appoint a new Chair of the Board. We are seeking a Chair who is as motivated by guiding the culture of an organisation as its operations, and who is excited by the prospect of driving change against challenging targets.
