We are looking for a skilled Transport Planner to join our team in the United Kingdom. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for designing and implementing transportation plans and strategies for various civil engineering projects. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient and sustainable transportation systems for our clients.

Candidate Profile
  • A degree qualification in a relevant field and have a genuine interest and enthusiasm for transport planning
  • Have a thorough understanding of the principles of transport planning and a demonstrable track record of delivering high quality input
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Excellent presentation and technical writing skills
  • The ability to manage your own time to meet project deadlines and budgets
  • The ability to use relevant industry-standard software packages
  • An understanding of the application of highway design standards, guidance and policy
  • Good technical ability
  • A positive attitude
Responsibilities
  • Obtaining, analysing, and interpreting traffic data from a range of external sources
  • Appraising development sites in terms of their accessibility by a range of transport modes
  • Undertaking junction capacity assessments
  • Producing high quality reports including Technical Notes, Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Environmental Statement chapters and Travel Plan reports, in part or in full
  • Designing highway improvement schemes
  • Managing your own projects and clients, with as much support and training as needed
