Job Title:Pharmacy Assistant/Technician
Banding:Band 3/4
Location: Sutton, Greater London
Working Hours:34.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Start Date:ASAP
Rate:£13 – £18
Duration: Ongoing

We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and motivated Pharmacy Assistant/Technician to join our esteemed client in Sutton. This role requires working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where you will be responsible for dispensing prescriptions, counselling patients on the correct use of medication, stock control, and stock maintenance. Your advanced expertise will be pivotal in ensuring the precision and reliability of pharmaceutical services, which are critical for accurate patient care and treatment.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for dispensing prescriptions, counselling patients on the correct use of medication, maintaining stock control, and ensuring stock maintenance. You will also be responsible for using the CMM Pharmacy computer system (desirable) and ensuring strict adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations. You will collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver superior patient care.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • NVQ Level 2 (for Band 3) or NVQ3 Pharmacy Technician.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Hospital experience (essential).
  • Use of CMM Pharmacy computer system (desirable).
  • Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification (essential).
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Unwavering attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
