What We're Looking For:

• Experience within an ecological consultancy or a related field
• A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline; a master's degree or PhD is advantageous
• Proficiency in ecological survey techniques, data analysis, and report writing; excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A strong understanding of UK wildlife legislation, planning regulations, and best practices in ecological management

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage ecological assessments, habitat surveys, and impact studies for various projects
• Conduct and oversee field surveys, including protected species surveys, habitat assessments, and ecological monitoring
• Prepare detailed ecological reports, impact assessments, and mitigation strategies
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, providing expert advice and guidance on ecological issues
• Support and mentor junior ecologists
• Ensure projects comply with relevant legislation, planning policies, and environmental standards
