Mechanical Design Engineer required for a manufacturer of various mechanical and electrical products based in Watford (including Mechanical Drive shafts, Electrical switchgear, etc.). The successful candidate will have experience in design, gained through university and ideally with hands-on experience.

Carry out all duties of a mechanical engineer within the engineering team.

Provide technical support and quotations to customers.

1. Conduct product-related R&D.
2. Utilize 3D CAD (SolidWorks).
3. Improve and automate production processes.
4. Design and build machinery.
5. Discuss and resolve complex problems with customers and suppliers.
6. Provide technical support to the sales team and external customers, including preparing quotes.
7. Produce process and product documentation/datasheets.
8. Research and select materials used in products.
9. Commission and maintain plant and systems.

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering (e.g., A-Level Physics).
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks).

• Salary dependent on experience.
