Job summary

Chester Zoo is seeking a dedicated security professional to join our team on a temporary basis. You will help safeguard staff, visitors, and assets across a 128-acre estate, with shifts between 7am and 2am.

The role offers a minimum of 8 hours per week, a competitive hourly rate, and perks including staff passes and free tickets for friends and family. A valid UK driving licence and SIA Door Supervisor licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Outstanding customer service skills and a professional approach.
• Confident communicator, able to stay calm under pressure.
• A full UK driving licence.
• A current SIA Door Supervisor licence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain highest security standards across the zoo and execute emergency responses per protocols.
• Welcome guests at main entrance, conduct searches, patrol grounds, manage events access and concierge duties.
• Operate and monitor security systems to ensure effectiveness.
• Support risk management by identifying vulnerabilities and implementing mitigations.
