Job summary

Manchester Youth Zone is looking for a friendly Receptionist to join our busy reception area in Manchester. You will be the first point of contact for young people, visitors and families, helping with sign-ins, bookings and general admin in a supportive youth-work environment.

Hours are 30 per week at £13.45 per hour, with occasional evening and weekend shifts. The role offers training, a comprehensive induction and a commitment to wellbeing and development within a vibrant charity setting.

Qualifications

• Provide friendly front-desk service to young people, families and visitors.
• Input and manage session data across systems accurately.
• Sign in members and handle room bookings for activities.
• Maintain professional, welcoming reception environment at all times.

Responsibilities

• Represent Manchester Youth Zone as a positive, welcoming presence for all who come to our building.
• Sign in members and input session data into data systems.
• Run regular reports to ensure memberships are up to date.
• Manage room bookings and building passes using SALTO and Paxton systems.
• Handle incoming calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
• Communicate allergen information to catering staff.
• Adhere to health and safety, data protection and safeguarding policies.
• Support the wider team with administration and busy workload.
