Job summary

Lancashire County Council is recruiting a Professional Range Youth Worker to work across Rossendale district. The role focuses on delivering targeted youth work, developing relationships with young people, and supporting social and personal development in line with the Youth Offer.

You will report to a Team Leader and collaborate with partners to maximise outreach and impact. The post requires a nationally recognised JNC qualification for Youth and Community Workers, or progress towards it, and

Qualifications

• Good IT, organisation and communication skills are essential.
• Experience in youth work and engagement with 11- to 19-year-olds is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work with vulnerable groups and partners.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and develop relationships with 11- to 19-year-olds and up to 25-year-olds.
• Deliver youth work opportunities across settings, including clubs and schools.
• Record data and produce reports to meet targets and evaluation requirements.
