Job Title: Youth Support Worker – Middlesbrough

Hours: Minimum of 2 hours 25 minutes per week

Contract Type: Variable Hour Contract.

Are you passionate about empowering young people to thrive in Middlesbrough? The Junction, a vibrant charity amplifying youth voices, seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated Youth Support Worker to join our team.

In this rewarding role, you'll work alongside a Lead Group Worker to make a real difference in the lives of young people. You'll co-facilitate engaging weekly sessions (2 hours each) filled with diverse activities designed to nurture creativity, build positive relationships, and foster a sense of belonging.

· A genuine interest in working with young people and a desire to learn and grow in youth work.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with young people of diverse backgrounds.

· A positive attitude and willingness to learn, embracing new challenges with a smile.

· A firm commitment to safeguarding and child protection, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for everyone.

As a Youth Support Worker at The Junction, you'll:

· Support young people during activities, offering individual attention and encouragement.

· Create a safe and inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels valued and respected.

· Proactively identify and report any concerns or incidents to ensure the well-being of all involved.

· Contribute to a positive and dynamic team through participation in meetings and supervision sessions.

· Gain valuable experience and skills in youth work while making a lasting impact on the lives of young people in Middlesbrough.
