James Cook Antenatal Clinic
We are seeking a dedicated Maternity Support Worker to join our Antenatal Clinic team at James Cook Hospital. The role involves collaborating with Registered Midwives, Specialist Midwives, Doctors, and Consultants in the clinic. Responsibilities include welcoming pregnant individuals, performing observations, venipuncture, acting as a chaperone, and assisting midwives in ensuring the smooth operation of clinics.
The post holder will be an active member of the multidisciplinary team (MDT), undertaking personal care activities and delegated clinical duties, including clinical observations as directed by registered professionals within defined parameters. They will maintain accurate records, escalate concerns appropriately, and uphold policies related to patient safety, infection prevention, dignity, and respect. The role may also involve supporting other clinical areas within maternity to ensure comprehensive patient care.
