Job summary

Hertfordshire County Council in Baldock is seeking a Youth Support Tutor to join our Community Protection team. You will deliver the 12-week King’s Trust Team Programme for 16–25-year-olds who are not in education, employment or training.

You will work with other Youth Support Workers, arrange placements, support personal next steps and take part in residential team activities. A driving licence and DBS check are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a team, particularly with other Youth Support Workers.
• Able to work on own initiative, prioritise and manage a varied workload.
• Strong organisational and self-motivation skills.
• Willingness to take responsibility and be proactive.
• Good administrative and record keeping abilities.
• Ability to identify suitable projects and placements.
• Full driving licence and use of own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the 12-week King’s Trust Team Programme for 16–25 year-olds not in education or employment.
• Support young people with placements and their next steps, plus a community project.
• Attend four day team-building residentials each year and liaise with external agencies.
• Help recruit young people to the programme and build partnerships.
