Job summary

HTR Care Recruitment is seeking an experienced Youth Support Worker to assist vulnerable young people aged 16–21 in a supported accommodation setting in the UK. You will implement support plans, promote safeguarding and help with daily routines and independence.

The role requires at least 2 years of UK care experience, a good understanding of boundaries and accurate record-keeping. The position is full-time and involves evenings, weekends, sleep-ins as needed, with a focus on safeguarding and

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ UK care, support or social care experience
• Experience in supported accommodation or similar settings
• Strong safeguarding, confidentiality and risk awareness
• Ability to support independence, routines and wellbeing
• Excellent daily notes and incident reporting
• Willingness for full-time rota including evenings and weekends

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, supportive and structured environment for young people
• Support young people in line with support plans, pathway plans and risk assessments
• Help young people build independence, routines and life skills
• Support access to appointments, education, training, employment, community services and positive activities
• Promote safeguarding, emotional wellbeing and safe decision-making
• Maintain accurate daily notes, case records and shift handovers
• Report safeguarding concerns, incidents and changes in risk promptly
• Maintain professional boundaries and act as a positive role model
• Work with colleagues, social workers and external agencies
• Support the smooth running of shifts and maintain a safe living environment
