Job summary

Barnsley Council's BYouth Young People\'s Service seeks sessional youth workers to engage 11-19 (25 with needs) in the evenings. You\'ll support activities, deliver issue-based programmes and be a trusted mentor across our borough.

The role is peripatetic, across locations, with up to 3 evenings per week, Monday to Friday, and a 38-week delivery calendar. Flexible working and opportunities for training are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience engaging young people aged 11-19.
• Ability to deliver activities and facilitate discussions.
• Willingness to work flexible evenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering issue-based programmes using recreational activities.
• Work as part of a team to provide trusted adult role models.
• Be deployed to locations across the Borough.
