Job summary

Barod in Wales seeks a dedicated Caseworker to assess, plan and deliver interventions for young people addressing substance use. You will conduct triage and assessments, coordinate care, and signpost to relevant services to promote recovery and engagement.

The role requires a Level 3 Advice and Guidance and a health/social care degree, plus driving for service delivery. You will work with communities, maintain records and contribute to outreach efforts across Gwent.

Qualifications

• Full, current driving licence and a vehicle insured for business use.
• Level 3 in Advice and Guidance (or equivalent).
• Degree in a Health and Social Care related topic (or equivalent).
• Training in safeguarding, substance awareness, harm reduction and psychosocial interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide face to face therapeutic intervention, care coordination and support to young people.
• Conduct triage, risk and comprehensive assessments and plan a support package.
• Deliver and support activities for young people and signpost to other agencies.
• Maintain service user records and participate in outreach campaigns.
• Utilise social media and digital platforms to enhance engagement.
