Barod in Wales seeks a dedicated Caseworker to assess, plan and deliver interventions for young people addressing substance use. You will conduct triage and assessments, coordinate care, and signpost to relevant services to promote recovery and engagement.
The role requires a Level 3 Advice and Guidance and a health/social care degree, plus driving for service delivery. You will work with communities, maintain records and contribute to outreach efforts across Gwent.
N-gage provide a Gwent wide service to young people offering support, information, and advice in relation to their own or others drug and/or alcohol use.
The aim of the service is to provide integrated substance use treatment to young people and their families and to support and enable universal and targeted children and young people services to respond to substance use needs.
The role of the Caseworker is to assess, plan and deliver unstructured/structured interventions and support young people accessing the service to address their substance use.
In this role you will be responsible for the following:
Full, current driving licence and use of a vehicle which is insured for business use.
Level 3 in Advice and Guidance (or equivalent).
Degree in a Health and Social Care related topic (or equivalent).
Training in any of the following areas:
Literacy and numeracy skills.
Excellent IT skills: competency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva and Internet Explorer.
Ability to problem solve, work under own initiative and able to work under pressure.
Ability to work flexibly as part of a collaborative team.
