Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking a Band 5 Substance Misuse Worker to deliver assessments and treatments in Denbighshire. You will work autonomously in community settings, manage a caseload and support service users through their treatment journey.

The role requires strong communication skills, ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team, and experience in substance misuse. Welsh language skills are desirable, with both Welsh and English speakers welcome.

Qualifications

• Essential criteria include a degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Strong communication and boundary awareness are required.
• Ability to work unsupervised and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience in substance misuse treatment environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment and treatment interventions in community settings.
• Carry a caseload and progress treatment with service users.
• Engage and motivate service users to maintain contact with services.
• Ensure timely data collection and contribution to service evaluation.
