Job summary

The Children’s Society is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced manager to lead a team supporting children and young people. You will carry out comprehensive assessments and develop coproduced, goal-based plans, plan and deliver targeted group work, and provide one-to-one support to help young people achieve their goals.

Key responsibilities include managing a team of professionals, maintaining records, and travelling across Torbay to attend meetings in various locations.

Qualifications

• Ability to develop positive relationships with children and young people.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with underserved or disengaged young people.
• Ability to educate, inform, coach and mentor young people.
• Ability to carry out high quality needs and strengths based assessments.
• Experience with SEND children and young people.
• Co-design goal-based plans to support meeting goals.
• Maintain coherent records and data in line with service protocols.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team delivering one-to-one and group sessions.
• Plan and deliver targeted group work.
• Provide one-to-one support to children and young people to achieve their goals.
• Carry out comprehensive assessments and develop coproduced plans.
• Travel across Torbay to attend meetings at various locations.
• Organise and manage own time effectively.
