Job summary

The Children’s Society in Torbay is seeking a Service Manager for the Pathway to Adulthood Service (Education Other Than At School). You will lead a team supporting young people through transition to adulthood, focusing on education, employment and independent living, coordinating assessments and coproduced plans.

Qualifications

• Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with children and young people
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with underserved or disengaged youths
• Ability to educate, inform, coach and mentor young people
• Ability to carry out high quality needs-based assessments
• Experience in working with SEND children and young people
• Co-design goal-based plans to support meeting goals
• Maintain coherent records in line with service protocols and data collection
• Identify, evaluate and manage risk
• Experience delivering both one-to-one and group sessions
• Able to travel across Torbay to attend meetings in various locations
• Experience managing a team of professionals
