Job summary

Bedspace Trust is seeking a Residential/Outreach Team Leader for Cheshire. You will guide a team of Support Workers, ensure OFSTED compliance, and maintain high-quality safeguarding and service delivery across Cheshire East and West pathways.

The role involves coordinating staff, conducting audits, and stepping in for the Team Manager as needed to keep services running smoothly and safely for young people and vulnerable adults.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or willingness to achieve this within 2 years.
• At least 2 years’ experience in residential/outreach support for children or vulnerable adults.
• Strong knowledge of OFSTED standards and local authority statutory duties.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
• A valid Driving Licence.
• Satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Support the Team Manager in day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with OFSTED and Local Authority standards.
• Lead and manage a team of Support Workers, ensuring staff receive supervision, training, and development.
• Oversee staff rotas and ensure staffing ratios are maintained.
• Conduct internal quality audits and support in preparation for external inspections.
• Ensure all accommodation meets safety standards and legal requirements.
• Manage referrals and ensure appropriate placement matching for service users.
• Represent the service in external meetings and liaise with internal departments.
