Job summary

Bedspace Cheshire is seeking a Residential/Outreach Team Leader to guide a team across Cheshire East and West Pathways, including Chester and surrounding areas. You will support the Team Manager to maintain OFSTED standards and drive quality outcomes for young people.

You will lead, supervise and develop staff, manage rotas, run integrity audits, and ensure safe, compliant accommodation. A driving licence and enhanced DBS are required.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to achieve within 2 years).
  • At least 2 years’ experience in residential/outreach support for children or vulnerable adults.
  • Strong knowledge of OFSTED standards and local authority statutory duties.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Team Manager in day-to-day operations, ensuring OFSTED compliance.
  • Lead and manage a team of Support Workers, providing supervision and development.
  • Oversee staff rotas and maintain staffing ratios.
  • Conduct internal quality audits and assist with inspections.
  • Ensure accommodation safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage referrals and suitable placement matching for service users.
  • Represent the service in external meetings and liaise with internal departments.

Residential/Outreach Team Leader - Cheshire

As a Team Leader within the Cheshire East & West Pathwayteam here at Bedspace, you’ll play a key role in guiding and supporting a team of dedicated Support Workers, ensuring that together, we provide the highest level of support to our Young People (Service Users).

Working closely with the Team Manager, you’ll be the go-to person for maintaining our quality standards, meeting OFSTED requirements, and making sure the team is always delivering their best. You’ll also have the chance to step in and lead when the Team Manager is unavailable, keeping things running smoothly and making a real difference every day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Team Manager in the day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with OFSTED and Local Authority standards.
  • Lead and manage a team of Support Workers, ensuring staff receive appropriate supervision, training, and development.

  • Ensure all accommodation meets safety standards and legal requirements.

Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to achieve this within 2 years).
  • At least 2 years’ experience in residential/outreach support for children or vulnerable adults.
  • Strong knowledge of OFSTED standards and local authority statutory duties.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
  • A valid Driving Licence.
  • Satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.

This is a permanent role, offering a salary of £ 33,423.32 per annum, working across the Cheshire region including Chester, Congleton andsurrounding areas. Working 37.5 hours per week. £34,375.24 per annum inclusive of sleep rate
