Job summary

Bedspace seeks a Team Leader for the Liverpool Residential Pathway. You will guide and support a team of 9–10 Support Workers, ensuring high-quality, OFSTED-compliant care for young people across Liverpool.

Working with the Team Manager, you will deputise when needed, maintain safety standards, lead move-in/out processes, and contribute to continuous improvement across properties. This permanent role is 37.5 hours per week with a salary of £33,423.32 per annum.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience in residential/outreach support for children or vulnerable adults.
• Thorough knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults and children.
• Have or be willing to work towards an NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification.
• Travel is essential so must hold a full Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle insured for business use.
• Computer literate - experience with MS Office
• Strong knowledge of OFSTED standards and local authority statutory duties.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Cover the Liverpool Residential Pathway, Liverpool region.
• Deputise for the team manager when necessary, line manage staff and work with the management team to maintain high standards.
• Lead on move-in and move-out processes with thorough induction for service users.
• Reduce voids and support Bedspace growth by planning move-ons and coordinating with placement teams.
• Assess readiness for transition to supported tenancies to ensure appropriate support.
• Collaborate with regional teams to embed good practice across sites.
• Support ASDAN programme delivery to improve independence and education outcomes.
• Induct new staff and support ongoing staff development.
• Manage a team of 9–10 staff.

About The Role

As a Team Leader within the Liverpool Residential Pathway team here at Bedspace, you’ll play a key role in guiding and supporting a team of dedicated Support Workers, ensuring that together, we provide the highest level of support to our Young People (Service Users).

Working closely with the Team Manager, you’ll be the go-to person for maintaining our quality standards, meeting OFSTED requirements, and making sure the team is always delivering their best. You’ll also have the chance to step in and lead when the Team Manager is unavailable, keeping things running smoothly and making a real difference every day. This is a permanent role, offering a salary of £33,423.32 per annum, working across the Liverpool region and surrounding areas. Working 37.5 hours per week. Key Responsibilities

• This role will cover the Liverpool Residential Pathway, Liverpool region.
• To deputise for the team manager when necessary, line manage staff and work alongside the management team to ensure high standards are maintained in each property, ensuring quality and safe support to service users.
• Lead on the move-in and out process for service users, ensuring all paperwork is completed to a high standard and service users receive a warm welcome and a full induction.
• Reduce the number of voids (empty beds) and support the growth of Bedspace by planning effectively for move-on and liaising with Team Managers and placement teams regarding new referrals.
• Act as an enabler by assessing, in consultation with Team Managers and Support Workers, those service users who are ready to be transitioned to supported tenancies, ensuring that the appropriate support and benefits will be in place.
• Work collaboratively with regional teams and the wider business to improve Bedspace and embed good practice models.
• Assist Support Workers with the delivery of the ASDAN programme, improving the independence skills and educational achievement of service users.
• Assist the Team Manager with induction of new staff and development of existing staff.
• Managing a team of 9 - 10 staff.
