Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd is seeking a Placement Lead – Supported Accommodation to oversee day-to-day service operations in Teesside and support a team working with young people in supported accommodation.

You will lead by example, ensure high standards of practice, and provide hands-on 1:1 and floating support while collaborating with social workers and local authorities to achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young people in social care.
• Experience providing 1:1 and direct support.
• Strong safeguarding and risk management understanding.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving.
• Hands-on, compassionate approach and passion for helping young people.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is advantageous.
• Willingness to undertake further training.

Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager and Senior Placement Manager with day-to-day running of the service.
• Lead by example, motivate staff and promote high standards of practice.
• Provide hands-on support including 1:1 and floating support to young people.
• Help young people develop independence, life skills, confidence and positive relationships.
• Support safeguarding, risk assessments, support plans and outcomes.
• Assist with staff supervision, appraisals, coaching and development.
• Maintain compliance with regulations, Ofsted and policies.
• Support audits, quality assurance, admissions and transitions.
• Collaborate with social workers, local authorities and professionals.
