Job summary

EDU Passport LLC in the UK is seeking a dedicated Youth Mentor to support young people with SEND and SEMH needs in Telford. You will mentor individuals and small groups, promoting confidence, resilience and positive social skills within an educational context.

Collaborating with teachers, families and external professionals, you will help implement personalised support plans and deliver targeted activities to foster wellbeing and personal development.

We are seeking a passionate and compassionate Youth Mentor to join our team in Telford , supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is committed to helping young people overcome challenges, build confidence, and reach their full potential . As a Youth Mentor, you will play a key role in guiding and supporting students in both their personal development and educational journey .

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring to young people with SEND and SEMH needs
• Support students in developing confidence, resilience, and positive social skills
• Help individuals overcome barriers to learning and personal development
• Encourage positive decision-making, goal setting, and self-belief
• Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment that promotes wellbeing
• Work collaboratively with teachers, families, and external professionals to implement personalised support plans
• Deliver targeted interventions and activities focused on emotional regulation and behaviour management
