Job summary

The Children’s Society in England seeks an enthusiastic and experienced manager to lead comprehensive assessments and coproduced goal-based plans, plan and deliver targeted group work, and provide one-to-one support to children and young people to help them reach their goals.

You will build positive relationships, educate and mentor young people, conduct needs and strengths-based assessments, and support safeguarding and data recording, with travel across Torbay for meetings as required.

Qualifications

• Experience with underserved or disengaged young people
• Ability to educate, inform, coach and mentor children and young people
• Ability to carry out high quality needs and strengths-based assessments
• Experience with SEND children and young people
• Co-design goal-based plans to support children and young people
• Maintain coherent records and data collection in line with service protocols
• Identify, evaluate and manage risk
• Travel to meetings across Torbay
• DBT qualification and delivering DBT services
• Outreach work experience

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver targeted group work for children and young people
• Provide one-to-one support to help achieve goals
• Carry out comprehensive assessments and develop coproduced goal-based plans
• Build positive relationships with children and young people
• Educate, inform, coach and mentor young people
• Maintain accurate records and data as required
• Travel to meetings across Torbay and attend various locations
• Deliver DBT services where required
• Engage in outreach activities to reach underserved groups
