Job summary

The Children’s Society is seeking a Service Manager for the Pathway to Adulthood Service in Torbay. You will lead the team supporting young people in their transition to adulthood, education and employment, developing coproduced goal-based plans and delivering both individual and group work.

We value an enthusiastic manager with strong assessment skills and experience with SEND and trauma-informed practice. There are opportunities to develop skills, with DBS checks and safeguarding in place.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of professionals.
• Ability to assess needs and co-create goal-based plans.
• Experience with underserved or disengaged youth.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with children and families.
• Capacity to deliver both one-to-one and group sessions.
• Willingness to travel across Torbay and attend meetings.
• DBT qualification and trauma-informed practice experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Youth Impact team overseeing transition to adulthood work.
• Carry out comprehensive assessments and coproduced goal-based plans.
• Plan and deliver targeted group work and one-to-one support.
• Keep records in line with service protocols and data collection.
• Identify, evaluate and manage risk effectively.
