Job summary

4Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking a Supported Housing Support Worker to assist young people aged 16-24 in supported housing schemes. You will help with benefits, budgeting, training and independent living skills to prepare for moving into independent accommodation.

You will work closely with individuals to assess needs, set goals, and develop personalised support plans, providing practical advice and ensuring access to housing and services across welfare, education and employment pathways.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing management, supported housing, homelessness services or related support.
• Knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation and social care concepts.
• Understanding of young people in supported accommodation or community settings.
• Familiarity with welfare benefits and budgeting support.

Responsibilities

• Help young people access welfare benefits and complete applications.
• Encourage access to employment, education, training and volunteering.
• Develop budgeting and money management skills with clients.
• Support preparation for independent accommodation and tenancy sustainment.
• Create personalised support plans and review progress with individuals.
• Build wellbeing, confidence and resilience through supportive relationships.
• Signpost to local agencies and services (housing, healthcare, jobcentre, etc.).
• Assist with tenancy-related matters and maintain accurate records.
