Job summary

City of Doncaster Council is seeking a Support Worker for the Housing & Independence Service to assist young people on their road to independence. You will support staff and help young people develop practical skills for tenancy and independent living.

We value experience with care-experienced young people, a supportive team ethos, and a willingness to apply therapeutic approaches to improve outcomes. DBS check is required for appointment.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people, children in care and care leavers.
• Willingness to use therapeutic approaches in the service.
• Ability to be an innovative and creative thinker who improves the offer to young people.

Responsibilities

• Assist in housing & independence projects for young people.
• Support staff with the road to independence.
• Deliver elements of the Key to Your Future programme and practical tenancy guidance.
