Derbyshire County Council is seeking a passionate Family Support Worker to join our Youth Justice Service. You will work directly with children, young people and their families to reduce offending, build resilience and create positive futures in a trauma-informed way.

You will coordinate interventions, collaborate with partner agencies and support families to ensure young people receive the right help at the right time, with some Saturdays required as part of the role.

Qualifications

  • Trauma-informed approach
  • Experience with children, young people and families
  • Ability to coordinate multi-agency interventions

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with children, young people and families to reduce offending and build resilience
  • Coordinate interventions and liaise with partner agencies to ensure timely support
  • Support families and strengthen relationships while avoiding remand to custody
  • Occasional unsocial hours, including weekends, as part of the role
